Lindsay Lennon Picht is an emerging artist based in Missouri. Throughout her life, drawing and painting have stayed constant means of expression, communication, and exploration for her.

In her work, she focuses on domestic, interior spaces that she has lived in for different amounts of time. Hotel rooms and apartments appear in her work because they reflect the travel and changes in her life. She has pared down her exploration of painting to an even more restricted medium, working primarily in watercolor, watercolor pencil, and occasionally gouache. She uses the unique translucent qualities of this medium to interrupt the sense of safety and security expected within a private domestic room. She manipulates space, overlaps objects, and strives to create a feeling of both confusion and softness within her paintings.

Lindsay Lennon Picht received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Truman State University in 2020. She worked as an artist for three years before attending Alfred University in Alfred, New York, where she received her Master of Fine Arts in Painting through the Alfred-Düsseldorf Painting program.
